A small brass dish with a deer at its center, sized for the things that get lost.
The dish is solid brass, 6.5 inches across, with a deer figure set into the form. The metal takes on a warm patina with use and holds rings, cufflinks, or a few matches. It reads as an object first and a catchall second.
On a nightstand or by the door, it is the piece people pick up.
