Rochard Nautical Book Limoges Box with Ships

Boats and ships fill the theme of this book shaped Rochard Limoges box, a small volume for anyone who loves the sea. It was crafted in porcelain and hand-painted in Limoges, France.

Tales From the High Seas

For centuries, ships have carried explorers, traders and dreamers across the world's oceans, and their stories fill whole libraries. This piece nods to that maritime tradition with a book that celebrates boats of every kind. It feels at home on a captain's desk or tucked among real volumes about sailing.

Shelf of the Seven Seas

Set it on a study shelf beside sea charts, a ship model or a brass compass, or on a bookcase in a coastal home. It makes a fitting present for a sailor, a navy veteran, a yacht club member or anyone retiring to a life on the water. Readers of sea novels and maritime history will enjoy the nod, and it pairs nicely with Rochard's other book boxes for a literary grouping.

Limoges, a city in central France, has produced fine hard-paste porcelain since the late 1700s, when kaolin clay was found nearby.
